Default The price on the shelf

This is the second week in a row where I have gone to buy groceries and the price on the shelf was wrong. When you get to the register the price is considerably higher, and they are doing it on things you have to have. Two of the items I noticed it on were baby related. The baby food I bought was eight cent higher at the register than on the shelf, and some infant's motrin was about 20 cent more. Had I not had a fussy baby with me I would have been discussing it with the manager.

Isn't that frustrating? It's getting to the point where we'll have to write down the prices of everything as we're shopping. That's not going to be very convenient, but it beats getting ripped off at the cash register. Prices are high enough as it is without getting charged even more.

I have no issues debating the price with someone when it comes down to it and I would gladly step out of line walk back to the shelf with the cashier and tell them so. I have done it in the past too.

They have to give you the price that was on the shelf. In many states, that is the law. A moveable sign is different because anyone could have moved it but if it's the shelf sticker, hold your ground and make them give it to you at the price stated.
