I can not believe how much paper towels, toilet tissue and milk just cost me at the store today. What is going on? I swear its enough to make me want to buy a cow and just have my own milk.

If prices keep going up, my list is going to be down to the absolute basics and nothing more. I can't see giving up milk, but if it keeps going up in price, that's exactly what will happen.

I'm always looking for the cheapest paper products and always buy generic. They're actually better, in my opinion, especially for things like cleaning mirrors. They don't leave lint and residue the way expensive brands do.

It's called inflation! It truly sucks that just basic items are going up in price. I've started buying my eggs locally because they're so much cheaper. Now if only I could figure out how to make toilet tissue, lol.

You are right on, it seemed that the prices jumped this week. I have been tracking a few items and each one of them jumped. I went into the store and came out with 3 items - had to have those. I was not paying the prices they wanted for the other things. Looks like I will be shopping at the discount grocery stores again.

I know what inflation is but some of this stuff is too darn much. I can not see how an item that is not a basic can go up almost twice as much within a four week time span. Something is going on crazy and I will be down to the basics before too long as well.

The Consumer Price Index is a joke. That thing is rigged and doesn't begin to show the true picture. It's been awhile since I used dry milk, but I'm going to check it out when I go to the grocery and see how much cheaper it will be.

Whole wheat bread is another thing with insane prices and it's been that way for some time. I've been buying a few loaves when they're on special and freezing a couple of them.
