Do you sometimes eat off of paper plates so that you don't have so many dishes to wash? We don't always but sometimes if I find a great deal on paper plates we will. Now if we are having a big get together we will almost always use paper ones.

Paper plates tend to be rather flimsy unless you get the more expensive kind. I usually just use regular plates. Washing them isn't that big of a deal to me. I'd rather wash plates than glasses or utensils. And it sure beats scrubbing pots and pans.

If we are having a big party then I buy the better paper plates (non-flimsy decorative plates). I usually pick them up when I see a sale. Sometimes for lunch we will eat off cheap paper plates. Most of the time we eat off our regular plates, cheaper then buying paper plates.

We kind of do a little of both. I do keep some on hand and if it is just me that is eating I will use a paper plate. Normally we use regular plates and just put them in the dish washer.

We mostly use real plates and then hand wash them. Using the dishwasher takes a ton of energy and water. We don't use it unless we had a party and a lot of dirty dishes.
