Default Diet Coke

So I have decided to stop drinking Diet Coke. I've only been drinking it for about a year now (switched from Coke). In the last year I have noticed that my memory is not as good, plus my knees and hips hurt. I don't know if it is related to the Diet Coke but it's worth a shot. Anyone have any problems when they switched to Diet?

I am like that with a few diet sodas, I still like the sweet taste but when I do drink its not an every day thing. I might have one cup a week if even that much. What about Diet Serria Mist?

Does it have something to do with the artificial sweetener it uses, which I believe is aspartame? Anyway, I think it's good for you to stop drinking soda or diet soda.

I've been drinking Diet Coke for years and don't think I have noticed anything weird going on with my body. But, like was mentioned, could it be that your body is reacting to the artificial sweetener in it? I have a sister-in-law that can't use any of that stuff, it gives her a severe headache.

There are a few diet sodas that are okay but most still taste like they are watered down. I noticed many of these are those that are coke like (cola not as much with the clear sodas like sprite). Is this common or are others noticing different what from what I?

That is good for you. I am a fan of neither soda nor diet soda. They would harm your health and ruin your shape. I would stick with plain water.

I do believe it is the artificial sweetener in the diet drinks. I've stopped now and my joints already feel better (no lie). My knees don't throb as much as they did a couple of weeks ago.

I do drink a ton of water - I did not want to drink just water. I do have to say that I have been having a glass of real Coke each day now. I just eat 100 calories less throughout the day.

Glad to hear that (the joints and not the coke). I have quit drinking soda and diet soda and moved to water a few years ago. I still drink coffee once in a while though.

Good for you. Soda is kind of bad for you anyways. You should try Crystal light or Vitawater. And as for your last question I don't have any problems because I've never liked Coke or Diet Coke so I've never switched.

I switched from soda to water. I would suggest anyone to try the same.
