My better half is usually on business trips so he had to stay at inns/hotels. He would come back home with some hotel souvenirs like bottled shampoo, gels, small sewing kits, cotton buds, shower caps, toothbrush and toothpaste, some notepads and pencil. Sometimes I collect unused napkins from a fast food place or sachets of ketchup, coffee/creamer, mayonnaise, pepper and salt. What thrifty things do you collect from places when hanging out?

I always bring home the unused soaps and shampoos from any hotel visit and my better half is a sauce and napkin collector from restaurants. I don't really pick up much else though.

I don't know why I do this because I don't smoke, but I collect matchbooks and note pads from places I go. I've got them from years back but I don't do anything with them. They are probably a fire hazard now that I've collected so many.

I collect unused coffee and sugar sachets from a cafeteria near my workplace. Sometimes I would keep some extra table napkins from places that I eat.
