A study released last week showed that nearly half of all Americans cannot afford to pay their bills even if they have jobs. The story was covered on MSNBC, but this story on the UK Daily Mail site tells it better and has some great graphs. The key to this story is in one sentence though "that full-time work fails to provide economic security for 25 per cent of adult workers,' because of stagnating and falling wages over the last decade"

As sad as it is I think this number will just increase. Wages are not going to get any higher and the cost of everything else will just continue to go up.
I saw this on MSNBC a week or so ago, but this story does have better graphs and charts. Many people are in dire financial situations these days, and many more are standing on the ledge.
