Default Confused @ the pump

If prices of gas are dropping why are most of the stations around me not changing their prices? Are stores trying to recoup money that most are not willing to pay?

I don't know. The prices here are down to $3.12, last month they were at $3.82 so this is a huge drop in prices. Does anyone know why the prices are falling so quickly?

I've noticed in general that gas stations are quick to raise prices, but not so fast to drop them down, even when the prices THEY pay have dropped.

Prices are $3.12 where you live? They are lowering here too, but only to $3.51 a gallon. I remember a few years ago prices shot up to over 4 bucks a gallon, and then came back down to under $2.00. I hope this is just a slow drop to that level again.

I was out today and there are a number of gas stations around here. Most were at $3.15 today. I saw one at $3.12 and one was down to $3.10. I am pretty happy, I hope this keeps getting lower and lower. I notice every other day the price is going down a cent or two.

Slowly but surely prices are dropping in my area. They aren't as low as your prices though. I think maybe I need to move if you have a cheaper cost of living in your cities. Or I could just move close to my job.

I ended up catching something that was 2 something, a friend on a social site had posted it and they live in NV. I just have no idea how prices could be that cheap on the west coast.

I saw it today for $3.05 someplace. Then I see it somewhere else for $3.15. I really think the prices of gas coming down, and staying down, would really help our economy.

Well, that was nice. Today gas is back up to $3.30 a gallon and I am going to guess it will keep rising back to where it was. I agree, if they want to make our economy strong again the gas prices need to fall below $3 and stay there.
