How do you handle things like register rewards, freebies, and high value coupons that expire quickly to make sure you use them before they expire?

I don't worry about using stuff before it expires usually, except for completely free stuff. Register rewards or extra care bucks I count as free stuff and I always use those but there is usually at least 2 weeks before they expire. I generally stop at the drugstores every 1-2 weeks and every week for the grocery store so I rarely have a problem.
I have a section in my purse where I keep coupons arranged according to the date they expire. Before I go shopping I make a point of checking the coupons to see if I need any items with expiring coupons. If so, I make a point of shopping for these items.
