Do you personally know any people who never take any loans or borrow money from other people? If so, I would love to hear the stories. That must be inspiring.

I don't! Everyone I know has a loan or has had a loan. Auto loan, home mortgage, student loan, etc. I don't know anyone who has not had any of these. I know a lot of people that won't use credit cards or borrow from people.

I have before only a few times and the loan amounts were not that large. The few people I have loaned too (esp. family) have only been one couple that I would trust with my kids. They ran into a hard time when the wife got sick and was in the hospital, they paid it back. Anyone else in the family I doubt I would loan to though as they would think its a gift when its not.

Do the kids count? I don't know any adults who have never taken any loans in their life. I think everyone has at least a home mortgage loan or auto loan.

I don't think in this day and age there are people who do not take a loan or borrow money; if not from other people, from the bank. You need to get loans to own a house, a car, even renovation for the home. Banks and finance institution play on people's need for instant gratification; buy now, pay later to get people to take loans so that they will earn from the interests on the loans. That is how banks and financial institutions earn money.
