Default Credit card to live on?

Have you ever been in a financial situation where you've had to use credit cards to get food or gas in order to pay your bills? I've had to a couple of times and I was wondering if I'm the only one that has had to do it.

Default

My husband and I had to do the same thing several times over the last year. As a result, we maxed out our credit cards and now it seems as though they are never going to go down. I can't wait until we are in a position that we can pay them all off and cancel it. We were almost to that spot, but now have to get a new car. :-/
