The Government needs to take the money out of the Government. How many fools are we spending that pretty much do nothing? Heck you can pay me those tons of monies to sit around and just talk and talk and talk and do nothing.

Get rid of the exorbitant retirement packages that Congress enjoys. That would be one way to began replenishing the social security trust fund that they've been draining. It's funny that the same members of Congress who complain about "entitlement" spending are getting far more from the government in their retirement than anyone else.

Hardly anyone in Congress will admit to how very small changes in Social Security can make a big difference. If they were even halfway responsible, they'd bite the bullet and make those adjustments instead of having to make significant cuts later. But they won't do it, at least not the ones that are in charge now.

Career politicians won't do what's good for America; they only work for themselves. Hopefully, they will be voted out in record numbers and replaced by people who will make responsible fiscal decisions.
