How are people saving for retirement if they don't participate in a 401K plan? I know we have social security but what else are we doing? I have a 401K plan and a couple of IRA's.
I think a lot of people are running into this and that is why they are not retiring. It's sad really! Some people can't even put money into their 401K plans because they need it to pay bills. I hope the economy turns around quick!
I have an IRA. Besides that, there is a CD I have planned to use as retirement funds. I'm waiting to put it into an IRA until I feel more confident that I won't need the money within the next few years. I wouldn't want to be stuck with a penalty.
