Default No debit card fee

I just read that Bank of America is going to drop their “Debit card fee” plan. I wonder how many people already changed banks – is that what it takes for banks to stop being crazy. People leaving! How crazy is it that a bank wanted to charge you $5 a month just to use your debit card.

I saw that too and thought about time they are changing their tune. I can't imagine any bank charging you for using your own money! I don't bank with them but if I did I would have switched banks!

I wonder what kind of a reaction they were expecting with a policy like that! There are too many corporations getting to big for their britches. Common people have to unite and take action.

I agree that it was people changing banks that made them stop that crazy new fee. Why would people pay money for using a card that the bank gave them.

It's a good decision though I think it's a bit too late. I wonder why they have ever planned it in the first place. Life is already hard without them charging the fee.

Somewhere around 650,000 people switched to credit unions from a report I saw. Funny that they announced it on a day when the government allowed to drop a few more million in debt on tax payers.

Wow 650,000 people! That is crazy! I'm glad people changed banks though and that the Bigger banks finally listened to people. Sounds like they listened a bit too late.

I am one of the ones that is changing banks anyway. I'm glad they came to their senses, but they will just pass the fees on elsewhere. B of A's customer service is so bad I am just done with them. To the local credit union we go!
