Default interest rates and requirements

Does anyone have one of those checking accounts that pays a higher interest rate but has several requirements? They all seem to require 10 or 12 debit card purchases in addition to other steps you have to meet. It's almost more trouble than it's worth.

I do not have any like that. Like you said, having to meet all the requirements can be a pain.

If I had an account like that, I'd probably end up making purchases I otherwise wouldn't have made just to meet the quota. You could end up spending more than you made with the higher interest rate.
