Default Selling Gold jewelery?

Has anyone done this here? I do have a few older gold necklaces and bracelets that I no longer wear and was thinking about doing this. I'm just not sure how it works and if I would get "tricked". Anyone have any good advice?

I hear the mail your gold to places are extremely cheap, and a pita to work with. I would research any place, and look up current gold prices before you go.

Some of these companies that buy gold are now going to the customers. If you check your local paper, you might find one that's setting up shop locally for a day or two. It would be a good idea to get anything appraised ahead of time and have something in writing if possible.

I have also been thinking about selling some of my gold jewelry, all of it actually. I never wear it and it is just taking room in my armoire. There is a location close to home that buys gold. I've just been too busy to stop in. Maybe I'll make some time this weekend!
