Default Down To One Credit Card

We've made the decision to get rid of all but one credit card. We're debating between a low interest card and a rewards card. I'm leaning towards getting a rewards card so we can get cash back with all of our purchases. Which do you think would be best and why?

Our bank card has a rewards program. I have to admit though that it takes a long time to be able to use them to get an item. You have to spend $5 to earn one point. I think I prefer the cash back myself.

I like my rewards cards. When it comes time for birthdays and Christmas I turn in rewards for gift cards as most people ask for them anymore.
