We finally decided to get out from under our debts. The cheapest and best option was to remortgage and pay off outstanding debts like the car payment, the home improvement loan, and credit cards. All in all, our interest rate has dropped dramatically and everything will be paid off much sooner. Best of all we now have some breathing room.

Yes, now we only have one payment and if we have extra money, we can put extra down on the mortgage at any time. Now we have to buckle down and budget - hope my husband is listening.
