Are you a part of a coupon swap? If so, what are the rules? How many people are usually in one swap? Do you only swap specific coupons or is it anything goes?

My mommy group and I get together once every 2 weeks and do a very informal coupon swap. Right now I get most of mine on Ebay.

I was involved in 1 about a year ago. It was ok, I was mostly getting coupons that I could not use. I think the best way is to put in your requests and hope that others don't have the same requests as you. I'm no longer involved in it - paying the postage to send my coupons to others was not worth the coupons that I was getting in return.

Savings, I found the same thing. I would get an envelope of coupons and I wouldn't be able to find any that I could use. It got to be a waste of my time and stamps. I get some of mine from ebay too.

I just swap coupons between family. Whatever I do not need I pass over to them.

I have never heard of a coupon swap. How does it work and where do you sign up? eBay, really? I never heard of coupons via eBay. Do you buy them or what? How much do you pay for them?

The only swapping of coupons I do is informally with mothers from the kids' school.

I used to run one, but people stopped following the rules and the people on the back end of the swap weren't getting the advantages of the front end. I ceased doing it but would think about getting into it again if it was worthwhile. Now I just do it with friends and family.

I was thinking of starting one on Facebook with a group of women at church who I know do couponing. I don’t know how complicated some groups make it but I thought it would be simple. I was just going to have them put in their requests and whoever could meet it would swap with some coupons they were looking for. And since we go to church, it wouldn’t be an inconvenience to meet for a swap. That sounds simple, right?

I have tried a few times but it seems that each time I find a good swap site I end up seeing too many horror stories from others. After trying for over a year now I have just given it, it does not seem like it worth it.
