Default Stamps, really?

Do you know anyone who still collect stamps? Since today most people tend to send emails rather than snail letters, I imagine there would be less stamps to collect. Or is it what makes the hobby even more fun?

I'm not into it myself, but I don't think the hobby depends on how many people send letters. I think sometimes they just buy the stamps, either from other collectors, or special editions from the post office. I could be wrong, though.

I see Stamps and Coin shows held together every few months. I collect neither, so I'm not sure how big the Stamp sections are there.

I'm with you on thinking this hobby has probably been affected by the digital age, and with talk of post offices closing permanently on Saturdays and locations shutting down nationwide, it seems collecting stamps will only grow more obsolete.

I tried stamp collecting when I was a kid, but I found it to be extremely boring. I still don't see what the attraction is, but to each their own.
