Default Container Gardening

I used to do a lot of this several years ago but got out of it. I'm planning on starting it back up as I love to have flowers and veggies growing all over the place. I'm looking around for some interesting containers now and planning on what I want to start planting.

That sounds like a really great hobby to have. Maybe I will try something like that. I would imagine you could find lots of interesting containers to do this in.

I'm thinking of getting into container gardening. I love flowers although I'm leaning more in the direction of vegetables. It would be great to save some money on the grocery bill. Are certain vegetables easier to grow well in container gardens?

Earthboxes are great to grow in, but they cost a pretty penny. I've seen some people make something similar out of an 5 gallon bucket.

Most veggies will grow well in a container. I even grew watermelons one year in them. i did have problem with corn, the bugs got them. But I also have problem with corn in the ground with the bugs.

It sounds like it would be fun to have a container garden. Though, I imagine that vegetables and flowers will grow better on the ground than they do in containers (or not?).

I'd like to give this container gardening a try with some veggies. And yes, I imagine they would grow bigger in the ground but just to have some plants grow in containers and produce veggies would be great to me.

Growing in pots you can make the soil towards the plant. Some like certain nutrients, some like fast draining, some do not. So it is easier in that respect.

I found bug control to be easier too. But yes, something about growing in the ground seems to do well.
