I wonder why some people cannot stop talking. My eldest sister is just like that. She comments on and criticizes everything except her nail polish. I am glad she has a nice and patient husband.

I think some people are like that; it is just the way they are. They would say anything popping up in their mind, and say it spontaneously. I am glad my wife is not of that type of person.

That is bad not only for the people around her but also for herself. If she couldn't stop talking, she wouldn't have time to listen to others and wouldn't learn anything from them.

I'm thinking they like to hear themselves talk - plain and simple. I really don't like to be around those types of people either. I like peace and quiet from time to time. I'm not one to pick out people's flaws either.

I have a few relatives like that. Fortunately, there are usually other people around, so I can avoid the non-stop talkers to some extent. At some point, I'll probably just pass on most of the family gatherings. I prefer a calmer, less stressful environment.

I actually called out a family member about this on Facebook about a week ago. I didn't call her out by name, but every single time she posted a status it was something negative. I said something along the lines of "if everything in your life is so bad maybe you should look at the common denominator...YOU!", and since then there have been less negative updates!

I think we all have family like that, extended or not along with a few friends. There is one girl in our extended family who can and will talk about anything even if you are subtle telling her that you are not interested in the subject.

This kind of a person can be especially tough to deal with if you are an introvert. It's hard enough for an introvert to think of something to say, but trying to talk to a person who doesn't let anyone get a word in would be even worse.

That type of person can annoy me sometimes if I'm trying to say something, but on the other hand, it's great when I'm not feeling very talkative. I never have to worry about awkward silences.

I have a few co-workers like that. I am just amazed that some people can go on and on without others not catching on. You would think someone like this for life would eventually catch on.
