Default Baby sitting neighbor's dog

Our neighbor is going to be gone for about a week and he can't take his little dog with him. He has asked if we will take care of him, which of course we said that we would. He is actually a good little dog but I'm just not so sure how our big kitty cat is going to like him! (He's almost as big as the dog).

I am sure they will avoid each other if they are anything like our pet when we sit for friends. Goodness the prices to shelter your pet on vacations are insane too, you are a good neighbor.

I wish I were your neighbor. I wonder why he has asked this in the first place, especially as he knows that you have a big cat which wouldn't get along with a dog very well.

Good luck; you would need it. I am pretty sure it would be a fun week for you and your family. Just make sure that they don't kill each other.

That was nice of you to volunteer to keep his dog. I'm sure if your cat doesn't really like him he will just avoid him when ever possible. If he is your next door neighbor, they may have already been "introduced" to each other so it might not go to bad.

Hopefully, it's all working out for you. I just finished a babysitting gig that I did as a favor. As an animal lover, I don't like to think about someone's beloved pet sitting in a cage at some vet's office or boarding facility.

Pet-sitting can be a wonderful experience, but it can also be a horrible one if you get stuck with an unruly animal. It sounds like you already know what to expect in terms of the pup's personality, so things should go over fairly smoothly. Keep your cat and the watched dog in separate rooms if you have to.
